Job Description

Hit your collection targets at this microlender call centre in Cape Town CBD and your commission shows it. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Home base is a microlender call centre on the Cape Town CBD side of Western Cape.

The work, day to day

Record reasons for non-payment so the credit team can adjust policy.
Negotiate payment arrangements and set up DebiCheck mandates.
Answer disputes about balances, interest and fees with a printed statement.
Update debtor contact details from tracing searches.
Track broken promises-to-pay and follow up within 48 hours.
Keep calls within the National Credit Act and the Debt Collectors Act rules.

What you need

Clear credit and criminal record
Good with numbers, dates and payment calculations
At least 6 months in collections, sales or a call centre
Registered, or willing to register, with the Council for Debt Collectors
You keep your tone respectful even when the debtor is not
Target-driven and comfortable with commission

On offer

Structured weekday hours with only occasional Saturdays
Monthly incentives for the top three collectors
Uncapped monthly commission on collected rands
