Packaging Line Operator (Rotating Shifts) – Experienced

Location: Kariega, Eastern Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines
• Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
• Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
• Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
• Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers

• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
• Available for rotating day and night shifts
• Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage

• NQF Level 2 manufacturing learnership completed
• Experience assisting on a packaging or filling machine

• Path to machine operator after six months
• Company transport on some night shifts
• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets
