Packaging Line Operator (Rotating Shifts)

Here in Kathu, a furniture assembly factory needs steady people who can repeat a task well for eight hours. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The site is in Kathu; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers
• Hand over at shift change with notes on rejects and stoppages
• Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
• Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet
• Pack finished product into cases and stack them by batch number
• Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card

• You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
• Available for rotating day and night shifts

• Experience assisting on a packaging or filling machine
• Some basic first-aid training

• Path to machine operator after six months
• Staff shop with discounted factory products
• Company transport on some night shifts

• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
