Job Description

Packing season at a berry packing facility near Epping means lots of shifts and lots of work. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Epping-based, with most of your time spent at a berry packing facility. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What your day looks like

Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
Build pallets to the correct height and strap them
Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line
Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
Move pallets into cold rooms and record temperatures

You'll need

Basic counting and reading for labels
Quick and neat with your hands
Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Arrives on time for early shifts
Valid ID or permit

Nice if you have

Forklift licence for palletising roles
Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.
