Packhouse Quality Controller (Seasonal)

You'll sort, grade and pack fruit for export at an export fruit packhouse near Somerset West. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll report in Somerset West. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
• Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
• Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
• Build pallets to the correct height and strap them
• Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
• Help clean the line and machines at the end of the day
• Move pallets into cold rooms and record temperatures

• Able to stand at a line for long shifts
• Quick and neat with your hands
• Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
• Follows hygiene rules at all times

• Previous packhouse work
• Matric for QC posts
• Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.

• Overtime pay during peak weeks
• Transport from nearby towns
• Protective clothing supplied
• Rehire for next season if you perform well

• If you want a QC post, bring your matric certificate and say you can write neat records.
