Packhouse Quality Controller (Seasonal)

Quick hands and good eyes are all an export fruit packhouse near Worcester really needs from you. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Worcester, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
• Help clean the line and machines at the end of the day
• Follow food safety rules like hand washing and no jewellery
• Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
• Move pallets into cold rooms and record temperatures
• Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
• Build pallets to the correct height and strap them

• Arrives on time for early shifts
• Basic counting and reading for labels
• Valid ID or permit
• Able to stand at a line for long shifts
• Available for the full packing season including Saturdays

• Previous packhouse work
• Matric for QC posts
• Forklift licence for palletising roles

• Overtime pay during peak weeks
• Rehire for next season if you perform well
• Protective clothing supplied
• Transport from nearby towns

• Apply before the season starts, often a month before first harvest. Recruiting days fill up fast.
• If you want a QC post, bring your matric certificate and say you can write neat records.
