Painter (New Builds & Refurbishments)

The housing development site in Worcester needs skilled hands and helpers who know the basics of the building trade. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

The work is in Worcester, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Cut, bend and tie reinforcing steel to the bending schedule
• Tile floors, showers and splashbacks, including cutting around fittings
• Plaster walls and float them to a smooth, even finish
• Carry bricks and materials to the workface and keep the scaffold clear
• Fix roof trusses, purlins and brandering for ceilings

• Proven experience in at least one trade, shown by references or a practical test
• Physically strong enough for a full day of lifting and bending outside
• Punctual every morning, even in winter
• Willing to move between sites in the same city

• Chance to move up to a gang leader post
• PPE supplied: hard hat, gloves, reflective vest
• Transport from a pick-up point to site

• Say which trade you are strongest in first. "Bricklayer, 6 years, face brick" is better than "general construction".
• Be ready to do a short practical test on site. Arrive early with your own tools if you have them.
