Palletiser (Export Packhouse)

Quick hands and good eyes are all a citrus packhouse near Coega really needs from you. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Coega-based, with most of your time spent at a citrus packhouse. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
• Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
• Help clean the line and machines at the end of the day
• Follow food safety rules like hand washing and no jewellery
• Build pallets to the correct height and strap them
• Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line
• Stick labels and batch codes on each carton

• Arrives on time for early shifts
• Able to stand at a line for long shifts
• Basic counting and reading for labels
• Follows hygiene rules at all times
• Quick and neat with your hands
• Available for the full packing season including Saturdays

• Previous packhouse work
• Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.
• Forklift licence for palletising roles

• Transport from nearby towns
• Protective clothing supplied
• Rehire for next season if you perform well
• Overtime pay during peak weeks

• If you want a QC post, bring your matric certificate and say you can write neat records.
