Palletiser (Export Packhouse)

You'll sort, grade and pack fruit for export at an export fruit packhouse near Phalaborwa. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Phalaborwa-based, with most of your time spent at an export fruit packhouse. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Move pallets into cold rooms and record temperatures
• Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
• Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
• Build pallets to the correct height and strap them
• Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
• Follow food safety rules like hand washing and no jewellery

• Able to stand at a line for long shifts
• Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
• Follows hygiene rules at all times
• Quick and neat with your hands
• Valid ID or permit
• Arrives on time for early shifts

• Previous packhouse work
• Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.

• Transport from nearby towns
• Rehire for next season if you perform well
• Protective clothing supplied
• Overtime pay during peak weeks

• If you want a QC post, bring your matric certificate and say you can write neat records.
