Panel Beater and Spray Painter (All-Rounder)

You'll bring accident-damaged cars back to factory standard at the dealership body shop in Brackenfell. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll be based at a dealership body shop in Brackenfell. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Spray base coat and 2K clear coat in the booth
• Repair dents with hammers, dollies and a stud welder
• Photograph repair stages for the insurance assessor
• Fit new panels using spot welding and bonding methods
• Pull and straighten chassis damage on a measuring jig
• Mask up vehicles properly to keep overspray off glass and trim

• Experience with modern waterborne or high-solids paint systems
• Physically able to stand, bend and kneel for long periods
• Able to work to insurer repair times and quality standards
• Good colour vision and a steady hand
• Panel beating or spray painting trade test, or at least 4 years of proven work
• A portfolio or references from previous body shops

• Experience as a workshop controller in a body shop
• Aluminium and high-strength steel repair training
• Measuring jig and electronic measuring experience

• Full respirator and spray suit supplied

• Say which paint systems you have used, like waterborne base coat with a 2K clear. Body shops care about this.
