Got an eye for a smooth finish? The insurance-approved accident repair centre in Mahikeng wants your skills in the booth or on the jig. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is an insurance-approved accident repair centre on the Mahikeng side of North West. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Apply filler, sand and prime to a smooth, ready surface
• Repair dents with hammers, dollies and a stud welder
• Mix paint colours with a spectrophotometer and the mixing scheme
• Photograph repair stages for the insurance assessor
• Cut and polish to remove dust marks and orange peel
• Spray base coat and 2K clear coat in the booth

• A portfolio or references from previous body shops
• Able to work to insurer repair times and quality standards
• Panel beating or spray painting trade test, or at least 4 years of proven work
• Knowledge of spray booth safety and respirator use

• Experience as a workshop controller in a body shop
• Aluminium and high-strength steel repair training
