Parts Manager (Franchised Dealership) – Permanent

Book cars in, find the right part and keep customers informed at the multi-brand service centre in Alberton. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The site is in Alberton; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Book in vehicles, walk around with the customer and note existing damage
• Pick, pack and issue parts to technicians against job cards
• Invoice completed jobs and explain the invoice at collection
• Count stock during cycle counts and year-end stocktake
• Phone customers with extra work found and get approval in writing
• Load bookings in the dealer management system
• Order stock and special parts, and follow up on back orders

• Calm and polite with customers, even when they are upset
• Matric, plus a motor industry background
• At least 2 years as a service advisor, parts interpreter or in a similar counter role
• Good working knowledge of car parts and basic vehicle systems
• Computer literate with a dealer management system or parts software
• Code 08 licence

• Experience in a customer satisfaction survey-driven dealership
• Parts interpreter or service advisor course through merSETA

• Monthly CSI bonus for customer ratings
• Commission on parts sales or workshop turnover
• Company uniform
• Paid brand training
