Parts Manager (Franchised Dealership)

You'll be the link between customers and the workshop at the aftermarket spares shop in Bloemfontein. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Bloemfontein-based, with most of your time spent at an aftermarket spares shop.

• Invoice completed jobs and explain the invoice at collection
• Order stock and special parts, and follow up on back orders
• Handle complaints calmly and find a fix with the workshop manager
• Look up part numbers in the electronic parts catalogue using the VIN
• Phone customers with extra work found and get approval in writing

• Code 08 licence
• Calm and polite with customers, even when they are upset
• Matric, plus a motor industry background
• Good working knowledge of car parts and basic vehicle systems
• At least 2 years as a service advisor, parts interpreter or in a similar counter role
• Computer literate with a dealer management system or parts software

• Parts interpreter or service advisor course through merSETA
• Experience in a customer satisfaction survey-driven dealership

• Commission on parts sales or workshop turnover
• Company uniform
• Monthly CSI bonus for customer ratings

• If your customer satisfaction scores were good, give the score. It is the number dealers watch most.
• For parts jobs, say how quickly you can find a part using the VIN. Some interviews include a quick lookup test.
