Patrol Officer (Warehouse Perimeter)

Steady 12-hour shifts at a construction yard in Harrismith for PSIRA-registered officers. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a construction yard in Harrismith. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed

• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Clean criminal record
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Alert, polite and firm with the public

• First-aid Level 1 certificate
• Firefighting or evacuation training

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
