Patrol Officer (Warehouse Perimeter) – Entry Level

The gate at a gated residential estate in Richards Bay is the first line of safety, and you would be standing at it. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll report in Richards Bay. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer

• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Speaks and writes basic English
