Paving Layer (Interlocking Pavers)

Good, straight work gets noticed on this school construction project in Sasolburg, and so does turning up every day. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is in Sasolburg (Free State). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Tile floors, showers and splashbacks, including cutting around fittings
• Mix mortar and plaster to the right ratio for the job
• Lay paving on a compacted, levelled bedding sand layer
• Fix roof trusses, purlins and brandering for ceilings
• Wear your hard hat, boots and harness wherever the foreman says

• Punctual every morning, even in winter
• Understands basic site safety like scaffolds and open trenches
• Physically strong enough for a full day of lifting and bending outside
• Able to follow a foreman's instructions and read basic measurements

• Weekly or fortnightly pay, always on time
• PPE supplied: hard hat, gloves, reflective vest
• UIF and COIDA registration from day one
• Transport from a pick-up point to site

• Be ready to do a short practical test on site. Arrive early with your own tools if you have them.
• Bring photos of your work on your phone. A foreman believes a straight wall more than a long CV.
