Paving Team Labourer – Fixed-Term

You'll mix, carry, dig and clean up so the tradespeople on a road rehabilitation project in Rustenburg can keep building. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The site is in Rustenburg; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Clean tools, mixers and wheelbarrows at the end of each day
• Sign the daily safety talk register before work starts
• Help offload deliveries of steel, timber and pipes
• Dig trenches and foundations to the depth the foreman marks
• Cut and lay paving bricks along string lines

• Willing to start early, often at 06:30
• Able to follow instructions from a foreman or artisan
• Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
• Prepared to travel between sites in the area

• Boots, hard hat and overalls issued on site
• Paid weekly or fortnightly
• Learn from artisans with a chance to move up to assistant

• If a foreman can vouch for you, put their number on your CV. Site hiring runs on word of mouth.
