Payroll Bureau Consultant

A hospitality group in Ermelo needs a payroll person who never misses a cut-off. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Home base is a hospitality group on the Ermelo side of Mpumalanga. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Submit Compensation Fund returns of earnings
• Import clock-card data and check overtime against approved hours
• Run weekly and monthly payrolls and check the variance reports
• Release the salary bank file for authorisation
• Submit monthly EMP201 returns and pay PAYE, UIF and SDL on eFiling

• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma
• You keep salary information private under POPIA
• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations
• Reliable with deadlines that cannot move

• SAPP registration as a Payroll Practitioner
• Experience with medical aid and pension fund reconciliations
• Bargaining council wage experience, such as MIBCO or the security sector

• Remote work outside payroll week
• Structured increases linked to certification
• Group life and disability cover
• Paid SAPP membership

• Say how many employees you paid and how often, such as "1,200 weekly-paid staff on VIP"; volume matters.
• Mention EMP501 and IRP5 by name; employers want proof you can handle the year-end tax cycle.
