Payroll Bureau Consultant

You'll run weekly and monthly payrolls for a payroll bureau in Mbombela, from clock data to bank file. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is Mbombela-based, with most of your time spent at a payroll bureau. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Compile bi-annual EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates
• Submit monthly EMP201 returns and pay PAYE, UIF and SDL on eFiling
• Process garnishee orders and third-party deductions
• Run weekly and monthly payrolls and check the variance reports
• Submit Compensation Fund returns of earnings

• At least 2 years of full-function payroll
• Experience on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay
• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma
• You keep salary information private under POPIA
• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA

• Bargaining council wage experience, such as MIBCO or the security sector
• Experience with medical aid and pension fund reconciliations

• Structured increases linked to certification
• Remote work outside payroll week
• Paid SAPP membership

• Never attach real payslips from a past employer; blank out names if you use one as an example.
• Say how many employees you paid and how often, such as "1,200 weekly-paid staff on VIP"; volume matters.
