Payroll Bureau Consultant

Accurate payslips, clean tax filings and happy staff: that's the job at a hospitality group in Pietermaritzburg. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a hospitality group on the Pietermaritzburg side of KwaZulu-Natal. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Run weekly and monthly payrolls and check the variance reports
• Declare UIF on uFiling and help staff with UI-19 forms
• Import clock-card data and check overtime against approved hours
• Submit Compensation Fund returns of earnings
• Process garnishee orders and third-party deductions
• Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private
• Capture new hires, terminations, increases and deductions before cut-off

• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma
• Reliable with deadlines that cannot move
• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations
• Experience on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay
• At least 2 years of full-function payroll
