Payroll Clerk (Sage 300 People, Weekly Paid Staff)

Accurate payslips, clean tax filings and happy staff: that's the job at a hospitality group in Gqeberha. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll report in Gqeberha. Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Import clock-card data and check overtime against approved hours
• Capture new hires, terminations, increases and deductions before cut-off
• Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private
• Calculate leave pay, notice pay and final pay under the BCEA
• Compile bi-annual EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates
• Run weekly and monthly payrolls and check the variance reports
• Declare UIF on uFiling and help staff with UI-19 forms

• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations
• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma
• You keep salary information private under POPIA
• Reliable with deadlines that cannot move
• Experience on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay
• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA

• Experience with medical aid and pension fund reconciliations
• Bargaining council wage experience, such as MIBCO or the security sector
• SAPP registration as a Payroll Practitioner
