Payroll Officer (VIP Payroll) – Immediate Start

Accurate payslips, clean tax filings and happy staff: that's the job at a labour-heavy mining contractor in Welkom. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The work is in Welkom, Free State, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Declare UIF on uFiling and help staff with UI-19 forms
• Calculate leave pay, notice pay and final pay under the BCEA
• Import clock-card data and check overtime against approved hours
• Compile bi-annual EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates
• Submit monthly EMP201 returns and pay PAYE, UIF and SDL on eFiling

• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations
• You keep salary information private under POPIA
• At least 2 years of full-function payroll
• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma

• SAPP registration as a Payroll Practitioner
• Knowledge of employment equity and WSP reporting

• Paid SAPP membership
• Remote work outside payroll week
• Structured increases linked to certification
