Pest Control and Hygiene Assistant – Permanent

When production stops at a mining workshop in Rustenburg, your crew moves in and cleans everything down. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll report in Rustenburg. Relocation is not covered for this one. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Test sanitiser strength with test strips and record the reading
• Clean drains and grease traps in commercial kitchens
• Clear builders' dust, paint and cement off floors and windows after construction
• Put out and check pest bait stations on the site map
• Run a high-pressure washer on grease, oil and slurry build-up
• Strip down and wash production equipment after the last run

• Not scared of heights for window or rope crews
• Physically strong for wet, heavy work
• Willing to work nights and weekends when plants shut down
• Respect for chemical safety and PPE
• Grade 10 or better; you must read chemical labels and safety data sheets
• Able to pass a medical fitness check for plant work

• A Code 8 licence to drive the crew bakkie
• Experience using a high-pressure washer or carpet extractor
• Working-at-heights or IRATA rope access ticket

• Full PPE: waterproof suits, boots, goggles and respirators
• Paid training on machines and chemicals
• Night-shift and standby allowances
