Job Description

Work under a registered pharmacist at a private hospital dispensary in Midrand and keep the dispensary running smoothly. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Location: Midrand, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

The work, day to day

Explain dosage, storage and side effects to patients in plain language
Record cold-chain fridge temperatures twice a day
Help customers choose over-the-counter and front-shop products
Log Schedule 5 and 6 items in the register as they go out
Pick, count and label medicine for the pharmacist's final check

What you need

Working knowledge of a dispensing system such as Unisolv, Proscript or Healthbridge-linked software
Friendly and clear at a busy counter
SAPC registration as a Pharmacist's Assistant (Basic or Post-Basic)
Able to work Saturdays and some Sundays on a rotation
