Pharmacist's Assistant (Post-Basic)

Patients at a pharmacy inside a supermarket in Mokopane rely on you to get the right medicine into the right hands. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll report in Mokopane. Relocation is not covered for this one. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Capture scripts on the dispensing system and check them against medical aid rules
• Process medical aid claims and fix rejections before the patient leaves
• Pick, count and label medicine for the pharmacist's final check
• Receive stock, check expiry dates and pack shelves first-expiry-first-out
• Log Schedule 5 and 6 items in the register as they go out
• Help customers choose over-the-counter and front-shop products
• Prepare monthly chronic packs for collection or courier delivery

• Matric with Maths or Maths Literacy
• Working knowledge of a dispensing system such as Unisolv, Proscript or Healthbridge-linked software
• Understanding of medical aid claim codes and PMB chronic rules
• Accurate with numbers and careful with labels
• Able to work Saturdays and some Sundays on a rotation

• Registered for the Post-Basic qualification if you currently hold Basic
• Experience in a courier or chronic medication pharmacy
