Job Description

A bank's digital channels team in Tembisa needs a developer who can take a ticket from idea to production. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is Tembisa-based, with most of your time spent at a bank's digital channels team.

The work, day to day

Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries

You'll need

Experience writing automated tests
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages

Nice if you have

Docker and Kubernetes experience
Public GitHub portfolio or published app
Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
