Pick & Pack Hand (Online Orders) – Fixed-Term

This is steady, physical warehouse work at an online grocery fulfilment hub in Benoni, and nobody minds if it's your first job. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

The site is in Benoni; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule

• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season

• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment

• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays

• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
