Job Description

Every order that leaves this frozen-food distribution centre in Khayelitsha passes through your hands first. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The work is in Khayelitsha, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

What you'll actually do

Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking

What you need

You can read product codes and count accurately
Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
South African ID or a valid work permit

Nice if you have

Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment

On offer

Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
Staff canteen with subsidised meals
