Pick & Pack Hand (Online Orders)

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at a clothing distribution centre in Randburg. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Location: Randburg, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes

• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment
• Basic computer skills for capturing counts

• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
