Planter Operator (Maize)

You'll drive tractors and farm machines on a maize and soya farm near Umhlanga through planting and harvest. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The site is in Umhlanga; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

• Plant rows straight, using GPS guidance where the tractor has it
• Record hours, fuel and fields worked on the job card
• Hook up and drive ploughs, discs, planters and sprayers
• Clear firebreaks and grade farm roads when needed
• Report breakdowns and help the mechanic with repairs

• Safe driver who respects chemical and machine safety
• Basic understanding of implements and settings
• Available to live on or near the farm

• At least 2 years driving tractors on a farm
