Job Description

Little ones at a primary school aftercare programme in Prospecton learn through play, and you'll set up that play. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll report in Prospecton. Relocation is not covered for this one.

The work, day to day

Observe each child and note milestones in their development file
Chat to parents at drop-off and pick-up about how the day went
Follow the NCF daily programme and adapt it for each age group
Plan themes and holiday programmes with the principal
Feed, change and settle babies and toddlers on their routine

What you need

Able to follow hygiene and safety routines without cutting corners
ECD Level 4 or Level 5 qualification, or currently studying towards one
Matric
Warm, patient and energetic with small children

Helpful, not essential

Montessori diploma or Reggio-inspired training
Experience with children with special needs
Speak more than one home language of the children you'll teach
