Job Description

Know your way around SANS 10254 and a geyser drip tray? The residential plumbing company in Burgersfort wants to hear from you. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Burgersfort-based, with most of your time spent at a residential plumbing company.

What you'll actually do

Order fittings from the supplier and keep the van stocked
Install and repair soil and waste pipes to SANS 10400 Part P
Work on the emergency call-out roster for after-hours bursts
Take photos and complete the insurer's claim report after each geyser job
Fit toilets, basins, showers and mixers to the client's chosen finishes
Trace hidden leaks using pressure tests and moisture readings
Service booster pumps, pressure tanks and water storage tanks

Must-haves

At least 3 years as a qualified plumber, including geyser replacements
Working knowledge of SANS 10252-1 and SANS 10254
Plumbing trade test certificate or an Occupational Certificate: Plumber (NQF 4)
Fit enough to lift a 150-litre geyser with a helper and work in tight roof spaces
Code 08 licence and a clean driving record

Extra points for

Heat pump and solar geyser installation experience
Drain camera and high-pressure jetting experience
SAQCC Gas registration for LPG installations
