Job Description

Plumbing work that keeps Rustenburg homes and buildings running: this insurance repair contractor needs a trade-tested plumber. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Location: Rustenburg, North West. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What your day looks like

Install and repair soil and waste pipes to SANS 10400 Part P
Order fittings from the supplier and keep the van stocked
Work on the emergency call-out roster for after-hours bursts
Install copper, PEX and PVC piping for new bathrooms and kitchens
Trace hidden leaks using pressure tests and moisture readings

You'll need

At least 3 years as a qualified plumber, including geyser replacements
Plumbing trade test certificate or an Occupational Certificate: Plumber (NQF 4)
PIRB registration as a Licensed Plumber, so you can issue plumbing CoCs
Code 08 licence and a clean driving record

Helpful, not essential

SAQCC Gas registration for LPG installations
Experience with insurance repair work and claim paperwork
