Plumber for Geyser Installations

You'll sort out burst geysers, leaks and blockages for the private hospital maintenance department in Alberton. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a private hospital maintenance department in Alberton. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Install and repair soil and waste pipes to SANS 10400 Part P
• Clear blocked drains with a rodding machine and inspect lines with a drain camera
• Fit toilets, basins, showers and mixers to the client's chosen finishes
• Take photos and complete the insurer's claim report after each geyser job
• Order fittings from the supplier and keep the van stocked
• Trace hidden leaks using pressure tests and moisture readings

• Code 08 licence and a clean driving record
• At least 3 years as a qualified plumber, including geyser replacements
• PIRB registration as a Licensed Plumber, so you can issue plumbing CoCs
• Able to talk politely to home owners about damage and costs
• Plumbing trade test certificate or an Occupational Certificate: Plumber (NQF 4)

• Heat pump and solar geyser installation experience
• Experience with insurance repair work and claim paperwork
