Plumbing Artisan (Hospital Maintenance)

This insurance repair contractor in Mamelodi needs a plumber who arrives on time, fixes it properly and leaves the site clean. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The site is in Mamelodi; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Take photos and complete the insurer's claim report after each geyser job
• Work on the emergency call-out roster for after-hours bursts
• Install copper, PEX and PVC piping for new bathrooms and kitchens
• Replace burst geysers and fit vacuum breakers, drip trays and pressure control valves to SANS 10254
• Install and repair soil and waste pipes to SANS 10400 Part P
• Fit toilets, basins, showers and mixers to the client's chosen finishes

• Code 08 licence and a clean driving record
• Fit enough to lift a 150-litre geyser with a helper and work in tight roof spaces
• Working knowledge of SANS 10252-1 and SANS 10254
• At least 3 years as a qualified plumber, including geyser replacements
• Plumbing trade test certificate or an Occupational Certificate: Plumber (NQF 4)

• Drain camera and high-pressure jetting experience
• Experience with insurance repair work and claim paperwork
• Heat pump and solar geyser installation experience

• Fully stocked service van with a fuel card
• Paid PIRB renewal fee
