Power BI Insights Analyst

Questions come to you at a microlender in Paarl, and you answer them with data. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll report in Paarl. Relocation is not covered for this one. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Build ETL pipelines in SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Python
• Present findings to managers in plain language with clear charts
• Check data quality and trace odd numbers back to the source
• Mask or remove personal information in data sets under POPIA
• Build simple forecasting and segmentation models in Python or R
• Write SQL to pull, join and clean data from several sources

• Careful with sensitive customer data
• Advanced Excel
• Hands-on Power BI, Tableau or a similar tool
• At least 2 years in a data or reporting role (not needed for graduate posts)

• Latest laptop with extra screen
• Paid cloud and BI certifications
• Annual bonus tied to company performance
• Hybrid work with two office days

• Build one public portfolio dashboard on a South African open data set if you have no work samples to share.
• Put SQL and your BI tool in the first line of your CV; these are the keywords every data recruiter searches.
