Power BI Insights Analyst

A short-term insurer in Stellenbosch needs dashboards people trust and numbers that add up. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Stellenbosch-based, with most of your time spent at a short-term insurer. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Check data quality and trace odd numbers back to the source
• Build ETL pipelines in SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Python
• Meet business users to turn their questions into report requirements
• Keep a data dictionary so everyone uses the same definitions
• Present findings to managers in plain language with clear charts
• Write SQL to pull, join and clean data from several sources
• Mask or remove personal information in data sets under POPIA

• Careful with sensitive customer data
• Strong SQL, including joins, window functions and CTEs
• Degree in statistics, maths, computer science, economics or a related field
• Advanced Excel
• Able to explain what the numbers mean, not just show them

• Python with pandas for data wrangling
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or Fabric
