Pre-School Teacher (4 to 5 Year Olds) – Fixed-Term

Parents at this Montessori pre-school in Fourways trust you with their children every morning. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is in Fourways (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Watch children closely outside and keep the play area safe
• Help aftercare learners with homework and reading
• Prepare simple, nutritious snacks and keep the kitchen hygienic
• Feed, change and settle babies and toddlers on their routine
• Plan themes and holiday programmes with the principal

• Warm, patient and energetic with small children
• Experience caring for children in a group setting, even as a volunteer
• Clear Form 30 child protection check and police clearance
• Paediatric first aid certificate
• Able to follow hygiene and safety routines without cutting corners

• Basic music, art or movement skills for group activities
• Experience with children with special needs

• Sponsored ECD Level 5 studies

• Apply for the Form 30 check early, as it can take weeks and many creches won't appoint without it.
• Add one sentence about an activity you ran that the children loved; it shows you can plan, not just supervise.
