Process Controller (Gold Plant)

Plant work suits people who watch the numbers and react fast. The iron ore beneficiation plant near Pretoria West needs you. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The work is in Pretoria West, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Adjust reagent dosing and air flow to hit recovery targets
• Watch mill loads, cell levels and densities on the SCADA screens
• Clear blocked chutes safely under isolation
• Clean spillage and keep walkways free of hazards
• Take samples at set times and bring them to the lab
• Log plant readings and downtime on the shift log
• Hand over the plant to the next shift with a clear status report

• Grade 12 with mathematics and physical science
• MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher
• Basic computer skills for SCADA screens and logs
• Certificate of fitness from the mine medical station
• At least 1 year operating a processing plant

• Control room experience
• Laboratory or sampling experience
• Forklift or overhead crane licence
