Job Description

Machines set the pace at this furniture assembly factory in Vereeniging; you keep up and catch the faults. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a furniture assembly factory on the Vereeniging side of Gauteng. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

The work, day to day

Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet
Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines
Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers
Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe

What you need

Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection
