Qualified Electrician (Residential Installations)

You'll wire, fault-find and certify installations for the facilities management company in Kempton Park. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is in Kempton Park (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Replace faulty light fittings, plugs, geyser elements and thermostats
• Fault-find tripping circuits with a multimeter, insulation tester and loop tester
• Run conduit, trunking and cable tray on new builds and renovations
• Install inverters, battery banks and changeover switches for backup power clients
• Read electrical layouts and mark out point positions before chasing walls
• Supervise and teach an electrical assistant or apprentice on site

• Valid Code 08 driver's licence
• Registered with the Department of Employment and Labour as an Installation Electrician or holding a Wireman's licence
• Solid working knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
• Clean criminal record, since you will work inside client homes

• Solar PV installation training and experience with hybrid inverters
• N3 electrical trade theory on top of your trade test
• Master Installation Electrician registration for three-phase CoCs

• Provident fund and group risk cover after probation
• Company bakkie for call-outs and travel between sites
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekends
