Quantity Surveyor (Building Contractor)

You'll measure, price and manage the money on building projects for the main building contractor in Boksburg. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a main building contractor in Boksburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Update cash flow forecasts for the project manager
• Get quotes from subcontractors and compare them line by line
• Price tenders using supplier quotes, labour rates and plant costs
• Take off quantities from drawings to build a bill of quantities
• Prepare the final account at the end of the project

• Code 08 licence for site visits
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
• BSc, BTech or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
• Understanding of JBCC Principal Building Agreement clauses

• Hybrid days in the office and on site
• Travel allowance for site visits
• Paid SACQSP registration fees and CPD courses
