Quantity Surveyor (Building Contractor)

You'll measure, price and manage the money on building projects for the property development company in Mokopane. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is Mokopane-based, with most of your time spent at a property development company.

• Measure work on site for monthly interim payment certificates
• Draft subcontract agreements and payment schedules
• Track budget against actual cost and flag overruns early
• Update cash flow forecasts for the project manager
• Take off quantities from drawings to build a bill of quantities

• Understanding of JBCC Principal Building Agreement clauses
• At least 3 years of QS work in private practice or with a contractor
• Code 08 licence for site visits
• You know the Standard System of Measuring Building Work
• Accurate with numbers and able to back up every figure you certify
• BSc, BTech or Diploma in Quantity Surveying

• Paid SACQSP registration fees and CPD courses
• Travel allowance for site visits
• Study support for an honours degree
