Job Description

You'll answer alarms across a business park in Brits in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Location: Brits, North West. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

The work, day to day

Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over

What you need

Calm under pressure and physically fit
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
At least 2 years in guarding or response
