Job Description

You'll answer alarms across a business park in Germiston in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Location: Germiston, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What you'll actually do

Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates

You'll need

PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
Calm under pressure and physically fit
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)

Nice if you have

Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
