Rapid Response Officer (Farm Security)

You'll answer alarms across a business park in Secunda in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll report in Secunda. Relocation is not covered for this one. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
• Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
• Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
• Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
• Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room

• SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
• Clean criminal record and no pending cases
• At least 2 years in guarding or response
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
• Calm under pressure and physically fit

• Mention the areas you know well. Companies prefer officers who can find addresses fast without a GPS.
• Bring the originals of your certificates to the interview. Armed companies verify them before a shooting test.
