Job Description

Short sessions, clear explanations and real progress: that's tutoring with an online tutoring platform in Kempton Park. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

The work is in Kempton Park, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What your day looks like

Adjust your pace for learners with ADHD, dyslexia or anxiety
Run live video lessons with a headset, whiteboard app and stable connection
Teach one-on-one or in small groups of up to six
Log hours and sessions on the agency's booking system for payment
Set practice work between sessions and check it next time
Write a short progress note for parents after each session

You'll need

Reliable internet and a quiet place to teach for online posts
Own transport for home tutoring posts
Police clearance for work with minors
Distinction or strong pass in the subject you'll tutor

Nice if you have

Experience with IEB as well as CAPS papers
Second language for learners who study in Afrikaans or isiZulu
