Job Description

Pick up afternoon or evening sessions with an online tutoring platform in Montague Gardens and put your subject knowledge to work. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is an online tutoring platform on the Montague Gardens side of Western Cape. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What your day looks like

Run live video lessons with a headset, whiteboard app and stable connection
Adjust your pace for learners with ADHD, dyslexia or anxiety
Write a short progress note for parents after each session
Work through past exam papers and marking memos with learners
Plan sessions that target the exact topics the learner is failing

Must-haves

Own transport for home tutoring posts
Available at least three afternoons or evenings a week
Police clearance for work with minors
Reliable internet and a quiet place to teach for online posts
Clear, patient way of explaining ideas

Extra points for

Second language for learners who study in Afrikaans or isiZulu
Experience with IEB as well as CAPS papers
