Receiving Clerk Assistant (Goods Inwards)

Delivery days start early in Klerksdorp, and a furniture retailer warehouse needs you on the bay before the trucks roll. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a furniture retailer warehouse on the Klerksdorp side of North West.

• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals

• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Willing to travel on routes that return late

• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• Past work as a driver's assistant

• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
