Reception Security Officer (Office Tower)

Residents and staff at an industrial park in Epping need to feel safe when they arrive; that is your job. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at an industrial park in Epping. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards

• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Clean criminal record
• Alert, polite and firm with the public

• Firefighting or evacuation training
• First-aid Level 1 certificate

• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Provident fund contributions
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Stable long-term site contracts

• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
